Here’s a cool dog with the shades on. I tried to balance the photo’s background by putting flowers on each side of the dog. I covered up the houses in the background as much as possible with the tree. The dog is offset slightly from the center giving it a subtle feeling of being dynamic.

I found some cute lawn ornaments. The large tree trunk in the background gives the image visual weight in the center of the image and provides a rectangle for stability in the photograph. The circular shape of the dirt around the tree guides the eye from ornament to ornament. The bird bath on the right, frames the edge of the photograph keeping your eye from wandering astray.

Is the ship still floating Captain? The area by the statue takes up about 1/3 of the horizontal space in the photograph. The rocks along the bottom of the image form a line to keep the eye in the photograph.

Here’s a cute little statue of what I can only call a little boy watering the garden with a hose. I left a little open area on the right where the boy is looking so it wouldn’t be too cramped. The main reason I photographed it from this angle was to get the flowers in the image along with the boy.
